China Life, PICC Property Insurance, Ping An Insurance and other 60 insurance companies, recently signed an"banks/post agents insurance self-discipline joint pledge", to regulate market behavior, and deepen the co-operation of banks and insurance companies, and to promote the healthy development of bancassurance business. The self-discipline joint pledge formulated by China Insurance Association is to maintain the normal order of the bank/post agents insurance market, avoid the acts of unfair competition between insurance company, commercial bank, post saving bureau and credit union in the market, prevent commercial bribery, promote bancassurance business continuously healthy development, and set up self-discipline and mutual monitoring system. The joint pledge standardizes the qualification management of sales person, the payment method of commission and the ratio of commission. Which is prohibited the insurance company use assistant or any other method to sell insurance products in the non-agent network of the company; it also requires insurance company to pay the commission to commercial bank in accordance with the fact according to finical regulations, and set up the top line of the commission ratio.
