am, the ceremony of the establishment of China Postal Savings Bank is
performed in China Post Group Headquarters Building. Liu Andong, who is
general manager of China Post Group, secretary of the Party Group and
Chairman of China Postal Savings Bank, addressed the meeting. The
ceremony was chaired by Feng Xinsheng, who is vice general manager of
China Post Group, member of the Party Group, director of China Postal
Savings Bank. Vice general managers of China Post Group, the members of
party group, directors of China Postal Savings Bank Zhang Yafei, Li
Guohua, LIU Mingguang attend the ceremony. Tao Liming, director and
president of China Postal Savings Bank, made a speech.

Andong, said at the speech, the establishment of China Postal Savings
Bank is another major achievements in China's postal system reform, it
will be a new exciting progress in our national economic development

the speech, Tao said that China postal savings bank¡¯s set up is a major
event with milestone meaning on the development process of China postal
financial services industry. Through 21 years¡¯ efforts, postal
financial service and operation continuous growth and comprehensive
competitive capability continuously improve (full text published

Since
Postal savings restore in 1986, through 21 years¡¯ development, it has
covered the whole country in urban and rural areas, it has become
individual financial services network with the most extensive network
and the largest turnover. Till the end of 2006, the national postal
savings deposits reached to 1.6 trillion yuan, just next to the four
state-owned commercial banks, ranks fifth. 31
December, 2006, approved by the State Council, CIRC officially
approved the opening of China Postal Savings Bank. The established
China Postal Savings Bank will continue to rely on the advantages of
postal network, in accordance with the corporate organizational
structure and management requirements of commercial banks, enrich the
business types, expand the marketing channels and improve the service
functions continuously. Liu
